FortiClient Installation for Mac - the link to Forticlient in this KB article does not work

Please login as an Administrator before installing.

To disable Global Protect:
Click on the Globe in top menu 

Click on  and select disable


To install FortiClient:

Depending on your web browser, run the file application

Open the FortiClient Update


Click Open

Click Install

Follow the prompts on the screen to install

Click on Agree

Click on Install

Enter the Mac Password and select Install Software

Click on Close when completed

Open FortiClient icon on the top menu and select Open FortiClient Console


Click on Remote Access and then Configure VPNOpen FortiClient Console

You will want to fill/change the following. Once done, click on Save.  (Please note: MrFaux1010 is an example and will not be the same as your Cloud Info.)

Connection Name:  TheraManager

Remote Gateway:  216.137.64.225

Customize Port:  Check the box and enter 10443

Authentication:  Save Login

Username:  Your Cloud Login (e.g. MrFaux1010, do not use dt\.  Please see below example)

Check box next to ‘Do not Warn Invalid Server Certificate’

Enter your Cloud Password (Please note: MrFaux1010 is an example and will not be the same as your Cloud Info.)


Click on Disconnect

Check ALL boxes and click on Connect

You are now connected


PLEASE NOTE:  Please log into Cloud and make sure you are able to access the EMR.

To Uninstall GlobalProtect:

Launch your web browser and go to the following URL: https://tfw.theramanager.com/global-protect/getsoftwarepage.esp 

Click Download Mac 32/64 bit GlobalProtect agent.


From the GlobalProtect Installer, click Continue.


On the Destination Select screen, click Continue.

On the Installation Type screen, select the Uninstall GlobalProtect package check box, and then click Continue.


Click Install to confirm that you want to remove the GlobalProtect app.

When prompted, enter your User Name and Password, and then click Install Software to uninstall GlobalProtect.


A message pops up, confirming that the Uninstall GlobalProtect package was successfully installed. This confirmation indicates that the GlobalProtect app has been removed from your endpoint.
