How is your software licensed?
Office Therapy and QuicDoc can be licensed by seat (machine) or named user.
Machine-based Licensing
This type of license allows you to install QuicDoc or Office Therapy on the number of PCs for which you have a license. With machine licensing, you can setup as many users/providers as you want. You are only limited by the number of PCs you install the program on. Let's say you have an office with 3 rooms and a computer in each. These three computers are on a network with the central database on a dedicated server so you can share information across all 3 PCs. You have 6 clinicians who share the office space. In this situation, machine licensing will work the best. With 3 machine licenses you can setup 6 users/providers who can logon at any of the three machines.
Named User Licensing
With this type of licensing, you can setup users (Office Therapy) or providers (QuicDoc) for the number of licenses you purchased. Let's say you have an office with 6 rooms and a PC in each. There are 4 users/providers who use these PCs. With named user licensing, you can install QuicDoc or Office Therapy on all 6 PCs. You can setup 4 active users/providers who can logon at any of the PCs.
Running in a Terminal Server, Citrix, or GoGlobal Environment
If you run QuicDoc or Office Therapy in a Terminal Server, Citrix, or GoGlobal environment you cannot use machine based licensing. Only named user licensing is available in these environments. You can install the software in these environments to serve out to users, but you will need to acquire licenses for each user/provider.
