Duplicate patient in Office Therapy
If you notice that there is a duplicate patient in Office Therapy, do not delete the patient as it can cause both accounts to be deleted. The only option to retrieve the account is from a previous backup. For more information or guidance, please contact our support department at 888-308-9683.
The # 1 cause of a duplicate patient is the diagnosis code dates overlapping. As shown below, the test patient has a diagnosis code change on 8/30/18 however the first diagnosis code date is the same date therefore causes the software to create a duplicate patient.
To resolve this issue:
Modify one of the diagnosis codes. Change the date begin or end date.
Example below shows the first diagnosis code was ended on 8/30/18 therefore it will be changed to 8/29/18.
Save changes to the Diagnosis screen. Once you click ok at the patient setup, you will see that the duplicate patient account will disappear from the client list.
