QDPM - Recall Appointment Reminders

Recall reminders are very useful for Annual Wellness Visits that patients may not want to schedule a year in advance, or Med Refill visits or any appointment type that will need to be scheduled in the future.  I have included some examples below that may help as well as how these Recalls appointments are made in the system.

 

The recall process is to help encourage a patient to make a follow up appointment or to reschedule a missed appointment and get them back in the office for their visit. If there is a practice that you have that issues a lot of labs, that would likely be a good candidate for recalls so that after the first visit where the labs are ordered, when the labs come back in, the patient can receive a recall that says something like: 

 

"Hello! your lab results are waiting for you at our office, please call <phone> to schedule an appointment with us for your review. Our hours of operation are between 8am and 4pm. We look forward to hearing you soon"

Recall

Recalls can be set on the Patient Dashboard in the 'Patient Appointment' Section or on the Appointment

  1. Click [Add]
  2. Add Recall Date
  3. [Save]

How do I indicate an appointment satisfies a Recall List appointment?  

When creating a new appointment, the user is presented with a popup as seen below.  If this appointment the fulfillment of the Recall, check the box.   

 

Recall Query Report 

Is found on the Scheduling Dashboard


 

If the user resolves the recall while scheduling the appointment, the recall is removed and is no longer on the report.  So this can be used as a 'Delinquent' report -ie the patient has not made an appointment for their recall.
